Inverter adalah Rangkaian elektronika daya yang digunakan untuk mengkonversikan tegangan searah (DC) ke suatu tegangan bolak-balik (AC). Dalam industri, Inverter merupakan alat atau komponen yang cukup banyak digunakan karena fungsinya untuk mengubah listrik DC menjadi AC. Meskipun secara umum kita menggunakan tegangan AC untuk tegangan masukan/input dari Inverter tersebut.

Inverter digunakan untuk mengatur kecepatan motor listrik/servo motor atau bisa juga disebut converter drive. Cuma kalau untuk servo lebih dikenal dengan istilah servo drive.
